Hello you.
It's been a while! Hope you guys had a lovely summer... autumn and very nearly Christmas. To anyone that's been reading this blog since I started in 2009, you'll know I'm not the most punctual of bloggers. This has probably been the longest break I've had. Sorry!
Since I started posting in early 2009, my interests and myself have changed a lot - so i've decided to rename the blog, and slightly change it up a little. 'xruthloves' was great... but, I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it anymore. I've changed a lot since 2009 so I feel my blog should reflect the changes too. The URL has also changed to rhwsm.blogspot.co.uk rather than xruthloves.blogspot.com. So don't be surprised when it says 'xruthloves' does not exist!
The blog is going to be about everything and anything. You know those kinda things where you just think are so amazing that you feel the need to scream it, but you don't have anyone to scream it to? This is what is going to be on here. Art, fashion, photography, illustration.. And lots more, I'm sure.
Anyway, enough of the boring stuff. Over the summer, I set up a little business called ' Everything Stops For Tea' - i'm sure you'll have heard me blabber on about it on Twitter (I apologise for the constant harassment). It's gone really well - probably a little too well, I can't even cope with the workload! I opened a Boutique on ASOS Marketplace, which has been so successful - check it out here.
This is the most recent shoot, which most has sold out... my bad! Will be updating it again soon I promise!
Just a little intro before more posts start appearing. It's just something I have to do. Like staring a sketchbook without a title page, it's just wrong. Just me? Hmm...

Ice skating at the Rock Center
SoHo.. I think? It wasn't till' I was in New York that I realised SoHo means South Of Houston. NoHo is North If Houston.

The Brooklyn Bridge
I went to New York in February but have only just got around to getting the film processed. My friend George lent me her Diana Mini, which is what I used to take these photos. They're so pretty I love them. Miss you NYC.

Foxy.
I got woken up to these at my front door this morning... So in love. I've got lots of lookalike pairs of Jeffrey Campbell's but finally decided to take the plunge and buy a real pair. I can 100% say its worth it, they are the comfiest pair of shoes I own. Definitely will be wearing these in the daytime with a pair of lace socks. They're suede too, so they're very strong and comfy.
Get them in the Office sale before they sell out! This colour is an Office Exclusive, too.
These were only £55, reduced from £105!

Glossybox: July Festival Edition
Glossybox has been a little bit hit and miss recently, and it feels like forever since I received my last one, but in the post about 40 minutes ago.. this badboy arrived.
My favourite thing by far in this box is the HD Brows Foxy Eyebrows Palette. It was previously used in the boxes about 8 months ago, which I didn't receive. Finally I have it! This palette RRP's at £19.95 and this product is full size. Last month, I also received the HD Brows Tweezers.. fully kitted out!
I've heard of Jelly Pong Pong before - I think they sell it on ASOS, but I've always thought the packaging looks quite cheap and tacky. I think it's mainly because their logo is one of the standard typefaces which you get on like Windows 98 (and I'm really anal about things like that). The product itself on the inside of the horrible tube, is actually okay. It smells really nice, but reminds me of those cheap lip glosses you get in a 50-pack of makeup for Christmas when you're 11 (you know the kind). It claims to be a multifunctional lip and cheek creme gloss - but I'm not convinced. Nice to have as a lipgloss in your handbag, but not worth £10.00 for the full-size. It does look slightly more impressive online though..
I'm excited to use the Clynol Enrich Colour Shampoo (Full size RRP £9.95), mainly because I know they sell it at my hairdressers so can't wait to try it out... and also super excited to use the Monu Golden Glow 3-5 hour natural tan (Full size RRP £23.00). It looks like a luminous yellow moisturiser, but apparently gives a subtle tan. I've used monu products before, so can't wait to give this a go too.
Finally, a selection of skin treatments from Elizabeth Arden. They included a nice size sample of 'Skin Balancing Lotion' (Full sizeRRP £32.99), but also some smaller sachets of cleansers etc. The lotion is targeted at combination skin which is ideal for me, and is also SPF 15. It claims to have 'a visual difference' which is good.. because I'm so impatient.
I think this many be the best box I've received, and can't wait to give these all a go! I think I may do a post on Eyebrow palettes... Benefit VS HD Brows. We'll see.
Who else got the July box?

Castel.
I've always loved Dr Martens, but with a hefty £100+ price tag, I've had to avoid them.
...Until now! I luckily saw these badboys in the sale a few days ago, and thought it'd be rude not to! They're part of the 8-hole range, in a floral canvas print. I've already got a pair of black Dr Martens but they're a size 4 so are too small.. I'm selling them so let me know if you'd like to buy them!
These boots RRP at £100 online but are reduced to £70. Strangely, I picked them up from BANK for £65. I think they were supposed to be £75, but one pair of boots said £65 instead of £75.. so I made her reduce them for me... but they then changed all of the other tags back to £75 ;) - bit cheeky, but for £10 I'm not bothered!
They've got tons online, floral prints and the famous cherry red 8-holes all on sale online, prices ranging from £49!
Grab some cheap DM's before they all sell out!

Glossybox: June 2012
To anyone that doesn't know what Glossybox is, it's a month subscription box thats delivered to your door, with 5 high-end brand travel size products. It'd £10 a month (Plus £2.95 postage) - but a few of the products are usually full size. I'd subscribed before, but didn't have enough money to carry on... but have just received my first box since subscribing again!
There's been a lot of negative comments about this box - some people have received perfume samples - which you can go and pick up for free in perfume shops or online, and they've also included a 'Glossybox' goats hair blush brush (RRP £15 - not sure where they got that price from as it isn't actually available to buy...) Personally, I feel that 'Glossybox' isn't an established high-end brand name, it's the box itself, so was a little unhappy to find that I'd received this as one of the 5 things that I'd paid for - it'd have been really cute as a little bit extra on the side, as after all, it's got their name plastered over the brush so is just an easy form of promotion for the brand.
I'd been PRAYING that I was going to receive the HD Brows tweezers.. and I did! So happy. These are full size tweezers, and RRP at £19.95. Can't wait to use them! I also received a travel size bottle of ' Green People SPF 15 Sun Protection' which looks and smells incredible. I'm going somewhere sunny in 3 weeks, so this is perfect to keep in my bag.
This box was all about Summer Beauty, so also included a selection VICHY concealer samples, which I thought was good. Especially as they included 6 sample colours - perfect for contouring (and when you get a tan on holiday)! The full size stick costs £19.00.
And finally, the last product was a small sample size of ' BM Beauty's Summer Warmth Bronzer. I'm not a big fan of bronzer, but it's actually quite a subtle colour, and is made from pure-minerals, so I'm quite excited to use that too.
In all, a pretty good box - but it'd be nothing without the HD Brows Tweezers.
