I'm currently at 44 followers through Blogspot! And as promised, a giveaway will be done at 50! Thanks Kavita (iheartvintagex) for tweeting me and getting me a few more! If you could follow me through Blogspot that would be really great, besides, the giveaway should be awesome, so get prepared! Labels: Fashion, Highstreet, Made by Ruth, Vintage
The title of my blogpost is by Marina and The Diamonds, and if you haven't heard of her (which you probably have) check her out, her voice is so soft yet powerful and different, i just love her. I've had a bit of a mad past 2 weeks, and have spent quite a bit on clothes.. Primark, vintage things.. I haven't got round to taking pictures of the vintage things i bought from COW (vintage store in Sheffield), but i bought 4 items, one of which is this lovely tea dress, which is quite western style aha! I bought it for £2.50.. because a few buttons were missing and stuff, it was in the sale too. At first it looks like it's just come from a grandma's closet (which is probably did) but you have to see the potential in clothes! With my lovely boyfriend holding the dress up ;D
And yeah the pictures are wank because my mum has the camera charger in Egypt with her, so the beauty of the 3.2 megapixel shitty phone is kicking in.. I shortened the dress to about 42cm, it's actually really short though, so i'm thinking cycling shorts underneath? It was the first time i shortened a dress, and was quite pleased :) I wore it out today with the white spotty tights and the horse belt (from the post below). So, in total, my outfit cost.. £7.50! Not bad, i think. I can wear the dress with the sleeves up or down, so it's ideal for summer and winter.
Vintage at £2.50? Check.

I love your dress! It definetly looks better shortened. Do you live in Sheffield?! Student? I'm from Rotherham, which is very near there.

Hey you :)
Thanks for the comment! I'm so excited - I'll probably be doing some giveaways and what not based on it.
Ahh I love COW - there's one in Nottingham that was the original I think, and it expanded to Manchester and Sheffield, ace!
lots of love,

Ruth I am so jealous! That is gorgeous :( Anything vintage here is sold for like thirty euro, and no matter how hard I try, the charity shops just sell stuff from Penneys circa 2003 :'( Ah well hehe I love it shortened!
