Just a very quick one! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, doing art graphics AND photography at A2 is absolutely killer. Deadlines are tomorrow! Got a lot to get doing tonight, which is probably why I should stop looking around on look.co.uk on my '5 minute break' (it's turned into at least an hour and half), but I just saw this and it's too good not to share. Guess which S/S12 collection this is from?
Primark. Seriously. LOOK AT THOSE WEDGES. Primark. PRIMARK?! Can't wait to get back shopping again.
Check out the full collection HERE.
I'll update with you with some of the new illustration i've done recently for my final piece (it's floor to ceiling... bit of a joke to carry around) and I've got some treats to share with you all, plus a little giveaway! As soon as these horrible deadlines are gone, I'll get back on it I promise. x

#LFW - Day 2
The most exciting time of the year for bloggers.. London Fashion Week! Two days in, and I've already fallen in love with a few collections, The House Of Holland, and Vivienne Westwood to name a few. As soon as I saw the photographs from THOH, I literally fell in love. The masquline cuts, pastel hues and general boy-meets-girl look are so versatile and wearable. Animal print is big again this season, and personally, I often find it a bit hit and miss but Henry has pulled it off beautifully. (A leopard print faux fur coat is on my to-buy list this winter, along with some mental leopard print leggings from H&M, I'm sure you'll have seen them in store).
HOUSE OF HOLLAND: Designer name: Henry Holland
Origin: Ramsbottom
Career highlight: “My first show on schedule at London Fashion Week.”
Design background: Henry studied at the London College of Printing. He was a stylist before setting up his label.
Design signatures: “Bold, colourful, irreverent.”
How would you describe the House of Holland woman? “I design with a London girl’s aesthetic in mind and love to see girls wearing my designs in their own unique way.”
Trademark piece: The T-shirt.
Three spring/summer 2012 inspirations: “Skinheads, the film Leonand furniture by the Spanish artist Jaime Hayon.”
What’s next for your brand? “House of Holland underwear and sunglasses.”
Who is your design hero? “Steven Sprouse.”
What’s your favourite cultural hotspot in the capital? “Everywhere.”
In five years’ time I will be… “Selling the film rights to my first novel.” (from londonfashionweek.co.uk)
It would be quite easy to recreate the highwaisted jeans in photo 1. Grab a pair of old jeans (even your dads would be ideal), and just bleach parts. I've done it with a pair of shorts, tutorial to follow (soon.. hopefully..)
So excited for whats to come of LFW, and wish I was there. What do you think of the collection, and have you seen any others which have particularly caught your eye? Keep your eyes peeled and let me know! x
