NYC goodies: #2
Pre-warning: Picture heavy post!
I haven't blogged in so long, college really is taking over my life. I attended an 'interesting' life drawing class on Friday... showed up ready with my watercolour and fineliners, to see a 90 year old naked man named Gerald to greet me. My artwork was interesting, to say the least.
Anyway, I've been meaning to post about some more of the bits that I got from New York. I've been back a month now, and I miss it so much. I'm saving to go again! The weather in England has been dismal to say the least this past month, but it was so beautiful today so I managed to get some decent shots of the shoes! P.s, you may fall in love, not only the shoes; but with the price.

I got these 3 pairs of heaven from some boutiques in SOHO. Hey - who knew that SOHO was short for South Of Houston? I didn't! Despite the obvious shops there, the little ones that were hidden were the best. They were similar to Ark, or any smaller shops that might be in England. A lot of the clothes were similar in each shop, but it just meant that you had to delve deeper in each shop! Initially, I saw these beige badboys above and thought they were amazing - but a little bit like what you might find in Spearmint Rhino. I tried them on, and fell in love. So comfy, and so different. I've been wanting some unusual heels for a while, contemplated buying some Jeffery Campbell's, but for the price of these... I just had to. And hey, they're super easy to carry - the hole in the heel is perfect for little hands like mine!

These also, were from a small boutique in SOHO. They are SO similar to Jeffery Campbell Foxy's, and the base of them is rubbery and the grip is amazing. The little buckle detail means they definitely won't slip off on a night out (much needed). Considering that Foxy's are around $119 (no idea about conversion.. we'll say about £100), I wish I'd bought more than one pair.
And lastly, the staircase wedges. They looked so boring on the shelf, until I saw the gradual steps on the back! A-maze. With the leopard print inside too... possibly my favourites. I wear them pretty much every day, they add 6" to my 5 ft 4 frame which is also a plus!
And the best thing about them all.... is that they were all $10 each. Which is £6.53. Yep. No joke. Thats like £3.26 per shoe. Wooooooooooo!
And these amazing polishes from Forever 21. They were $2.80 each... so cheap. The blue is sort of galactic, and shines deep plum in the light. The glitter is similar to one of the Muppets from O.P.I collection, again, I wish I'd have bought more!
There's lots more to come, so I'll post soon lovelies :) Labels: 2012, Forever 21, Heels, Jeffery Campbell, Nails, new york, NYC, Polish, Shoes, Wedges

Just a very quick one! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, doing art graphics AND photography at A2 is absolutely killer. Deadlines are tomorrow! Got a lot to get doing tonight, which is probably why I should stop looking around on look.co.uk on my '5 minute break' (it's turned into at least an hour and half), but I just saw this and it's too good not to share. Guess which S/S12 collection this is from?
Primark. Seriously. LOOK AT THOSE WEDGES. Primark. PRIMARK?! Can't wait to get back shopping again.
Check out the full collection HERE.
I'll update with you with some of the new illustration i've done recently for my final piece (it's floor to ceiling... bit of a joke to carry around) and I've got some treats to share with you all, plus a little giveaway! As soon as these horrible deadlines are gone, I'll get back on it I promise. x

BLOCK IT OUT
Despite the bitter cold winter mornings and ice-dusted nights, it isn't time to stop wearing heels - or flats for that matter of fact. From Balenciaga to Topshop, Wooden colour blocks to toecaps - colour block heels are the hottest thing right now. Heels have officially gone Haribo on us, in a multitude of colours, shapes and forms!
Black and nude? Yes please! Perfect for this Christmas.. and with the nude body of the shoes.. elongating legs.. whats to say no to?! If only I could open a pair of Just Cavalli babies on Christmas Day. Now that, would be colourful. Labels: Balenciaga, Heels, Just Cavalli, Marni, Topshop
